Supply, assemblage and tending of elevator and escalator equipment

Objective:

The company had worked with Chinese manufacturers as one legal entity for 2 years. After signing a business agreement as another legal entity, the company issued updated certificates of conformity. The declarant notified the Chinese party that because the legal entity had changed, the marking on product packaging had to be changed as well. The Chinese designer created a new marking and confirmed it with the buyer in Russian Federation. However, in the process of customs inspection, it was discovered that the marking remained the same, issued for the Russian customer’s previous legal entity. The certificates were issued for the new entity, which was a violation of non-tariff regulations (Article 16 of the Code of Administrative Offenses).

Solution:

In urgent manner, an agreement between the previous and the new legal entities was signed to avoid re-issuing the certificate and delaying cargo clearance.

Thanks to " Sealiner " we are able to efficiently and quickly solve the problem of delivering elevator equipment . For example, in December 2014 because of an error in the specification of the elevator door was a risk not to have time to implement the project on time. Solution:

Before the cargo was loaded into the container, the supplier was requested to provide all necessary information on the product that would undergo customs clearance in Russia. That helped to check the whole product list in advance, select suitable codes and arrange the permits in accordance with these codes with certification bodies. The information on the sauna supplied was promptly requested: number of pieces, photos, operating manual. The sauna’s heating principle was identified. Using the product photos, availability of trademarks was checked. Also, the laminate and the mosaic, included in this shipment, were processed. To stay on the safe side, the sender overstated brutto weight in the consignment. However, while processing the packing list prior to the ship’s arrival, External Trade Managers discovered the brutto weight was obviously overstated and it was necessary to correct the brutto weight in the consignment and the packing list. Because the line refused to correct the consignment before the ship’s arrival, a voluntary weighing in the port of arrival was scheduled, a letter of correction was sent to the line based on the weighing card, and the brutto weight was corrected. Due to this, the problem of discrepancy bewteen actual and documented data was solved.

Delivery finishing materials within the time is very important for us and our customers. The company " Sealiner " successfully copes with this task , be it special delivery or collecting container cargo.

Company: «UNGERT materials»

Plant that manufactures elevator and escalator equipment.

Objective:

The company needed spare parts for elevator assemblage delivered. The customer conducted negotiations with the Chinese party in order to reduce the cost of the spare parts. At a certain stage, the Chinese party agreed, but nobody clarified at what expense the cost would be reduced. When the declarant started checking the documents provided, it turned out that the deal was made not with the Chinese manufacturer directly, but with a third party, “Seller”, involved, which was supposedly the manufacturer’s subsidiary enterprise. Turned out that the copy of export declaration was not registered in the customs bodies of the PRC. What the Chinese provided was merely a printed export declaration, not sealed by the customs bodies of the PRC and without a barcode. Because of that, there was no possibility to assert the cost of the product, which was lower than the cost risk level, by method 1 without making a Provisional Payment.

Solution:

A FEACN code was selected with a 5% customs duty rate, but a lower level of cost risk. A small extra was spent, but the unsastainable Provision Payment was avoided.
